KSF3: OBSERVER

DATA COLLECTION SPACE MISSIONS

Creating a constellation that provides critical coverage for monitoring global events and key locations of interest.

Observer Mission (KSF3) satellites launched January 3, 2023 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida onboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 Transporter-6 mission.

OBSERVER Mission

Launching into a 500-600km Sun Synchronous orbit, the Observer Mission satellites expand Kleos’ data collection capability by up to an additional 119 million km² per day.

The satellites are equipped with VHF & X Band payloads. Data is collected by the satellites and processed by the Kleos signal processing system to create our Actional Intelligence LOCATE data products.

Observer Mission ready for launch integration; completes final testing milestone

The Observer Mission (KSF3), is ready to be shipped to the launch site after successfully completing environmental test phases.

The Observer Mission satellites have successfully completed all System Assembly and Integration and Test (SAIT) activities, followed by system level electrical and mechanical functionality verification, including environmental testing of the satellites. Each system has been subjected to vibration, thermal, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests, ensuring functionality of the cluster after launch for the duration of the mission.
